On November 14, 2023, we directed real parties in interest to file expedited answers to the petition and granted a temporary stay pending our receipt and consideration of any opposition. Real party in interest Miles S., Jr., has timely filed an opposition to the stay motion, and real party in interest Lindsey B. has filed a joinder to the motion. Having considered the parties' arguments in light of these factors, we conclude that a stay is warranted. Therefore, we grant petitioners' motion and extend our stay of the district court's placement order pending resolution of this writ proceeding and further order of this court. This court's resolution of this matter will be expedited to the extent our docket permits. Additionally, the minor child's foster parents, Becky and Jay W., have moved for leave to file an amicus curiae brief in support of petitioners, pointing out that they may be considered persons with special interest under NRS 432B.457(3)(a) and have information relevant to the determination of the minor child's placement.
