10/27/2025Order/ProceduralFiled Order Imposing Sanctions. Based on this series of events, the settlement judge recommended the imposition of a sanction in the amount of $242.96 against respondent to be paid directly to appellant to reimburse appellant for the non-refundable airline ticket. On December 12, 2024, this court entered an order directing respondent to show cause why the recommended sanction should not be imposed. Respondent has filed a response to that order, an errata to the response, and an amended response. Appellant has filed a motion for leave to file a response to respondent's response. Respondent opposes the motion. The motion to file a response to respondent's response is denied. We conclude this conduct warrants the imposition of sanctions under NRAP 16(j). Respondent Daniel Gelbman shall have 30 days from the date of this order to pay the sum of $242.96 to appellant Hope Backman. A25-RP/LB/LS (SC)25-46639
