12/23/2024Order/ProceduralFiled Order Regarding Motions. On December 10, 2024, appellant filed a pro se "Motion to Amend an Appeal," a "Motion for an Oral Argument," as well as motions for extensions of time to file those motions. The motion to amend seeks to change appellant's response to Item 15 in the docketing statement from "no" to "yes," and add the name of the district court judge for disqualification. The motion is denied because docketing statement item 15 relates to a request to disqualify a justice of the Supreme Court or a judge of the Court of Appeals, not a district court judge. Any other relief requested in the motion is also denied. Appellant's motion for oral argument is denied at this time. In light of the foregoing, we deny the motions seeking extensions of time as moot. (COA)24-49565

12/31/2024MotionFiled Proper Person Motion for Stay Pending Appeal (SC)24-50490
01/03/2025Order/ProceduralFiled Order Denying Motions. On December 30, 2024, pro se appellant filed a "Motion for a Stay Pending Appeal" and a "Motion to Amend an Appeal?Second Amendment." As to the stay motion, appellant fails to identify any district court proceedings to stay. Thus, considering the relevant factors, we deny that request. As to the motion to amend, it contains substantive arguments in support of the relief appellant seeks on appeal. As such, we construe the motion as a supplement and this court will consider the substantive arguments within the motion when resolving this appeal. Any other relief requested in the motion to amend is denied. (COA)25-00278
