Respondent asserts the clerk lacked authority to grant the motion because the extension was requested after the deadline to file the brief had passed. Appellant opposes the motion and countermoves to extend the deadline to file the opening brief and appendix until August 5, 2024. Appellant asserts it relied on the due date on this court's docket. Respondent does not demonstrate that the clerk lacked authority to enter the telephonic extension order. The order was entered because this court's public docket incorrectly identified the date that the opening brief was due. The motion to strike is denied.
